Ipamorelin is a selective pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that activates the ghrelin receptor (GHSR) to trigger a rapid, pronounced GH pulse peaking approximately 40 minutes post-injection. Its defining characteristic is selectivity — unlike earlier GH secretagogues, Ipamorelin does not meaningfully raise ACTH, cortisol, or prolactin, making it one of the cleanest GH-stimulating agents studied.
