5-Amino-1MQ is a selective, cell-permeable inhibitor of Nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) — the cytosolic enzyme that metabolises nicotinamide using S-adenosylmethionine, competing with NAD+ biosynthesis and methylation reactions.
